The move includes a three-year contract for Steffen, who served as a backup at City, accumulating 21 appearances over four seasons, primarily in cup competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During his time with Manchester City, Steffen also had loan spells with German club Fortuna Dusseldorf and English Championship club Middlesbrough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With 29 appearances for the United States national team, Steffen aims to secure regular playing time in the MLS, hoping it will enhance his chances of reclaiming a starting position ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
