Shiffrin established a significant lead in her opening run, resulting in a combined time of one minute 48.21 seconds. This performance earned her the 150th World Cup podium, bringing her within five podiums of the record held by Ingemar Stenmark. Additionally, Shiffrin&#8217;s 82nd World Cup slalom podium broke her tie with Stenmark for the most podium finishes in a single discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shiffrin&#8217;s victory was achieved by a narrow margin of 0.14 seconds over 19-year-old Croatian skier Zrinka Ljutic, with Anna Swenn Larsson claiming the third spot. Expressing the absence of Vlhova, Shiffrin acknowledged the challenge on the second run, noting a decrease in energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Vlhova, a dominant force in women&#8217;s slalom alongside Shiffrin, tore knee ligaments in a crash during the giant slalom on Saturday. The duo has collectively claimed 14 wins in the past 15 slalom races.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shiffrin commented on Vlhova&#8217;s injury, saying, &#8220;I have been thinking about (Vlhova) a lot the last 24 hours. Honestly, this is just an enormous blow for the sport. It sucks.
